Voom Drive

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 27, 2026

Last updated: October 27, 2026

1. Who we are and scope

Voom Services Inc ("Voom," "we," "us," or "our") operates Voom Drive, an application for authorized transportation drivers. This policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with the application and associated driver operations.

Voom Services Inc is based in California, United States. For privacy questions or requests, contact Privacy@ridevoom.com.

This policy covers Voom Drive. Separate notices or agreements may also apply to employment, contractor relationships, school transportation arrangements, or other Voom services. It does not replace any notice required before collecting personal information.

2. Information we process and its sources

We receive information from drivers, authorized transportation administrators, participating organizations, and the device used to access the app. Information displayed from an existing office record is not necessarily information newly collected through the app.

Account and contact information

We process driver names, sign-in email addresses, account and driver identifiers, authentication information, and account settings. Phone numbers and physical addresses may also be processed where provided in operational records or uploaded documents.

Ride and transportation information

We process assigned schedules, pickup and drop-off addresses, student or passenger names and instructions, ride and assignment identifiers, and driver actions such as acceptance, arrival, pickup, no-show, drop-off, and completion. Actions may be associated with service dates, stop sequence, and timestamps.

Ride history and Wallet can display records supplied by the transportation backend, including driver payout or earnings information.

Location information

With device permission and the relevant in-app consent, Voom Drive collects and sends precise location during an active ride so the office can monitor transportation operations. Records can include latitude, longitude, accuracy, direction of travel, speed, time, and the associated driver and ride.

On supported installed builds, this can continue while the app is in the background, the phone is locked, or another navigation app is open. It depends on permissions, connectivity, operating-system restrictions, and device settings. Voom's location-sharing feature is designed to stop when the active ride ends or the driver signs out. Revoking location permission prevents future collection through that permission; it does not erase existing records.

Uploaded documents, photos, and vehicle information

Drivers can submit compliance documents, including driver's licenses, background checks, drug tests, TB tests, physical-examination records, and CPR/first-aid certificates. Depending on their contents, these records may contain identifying, health, or other sensitive personal information.

We also process vehicle details, including make, model, year, license plate, VIN, insurance policy information, expiration dates, registration, inspection and insurance documents, and vehicle or equipment photos and details where those features are enabled.

Upload only information needed for the requested operational purpose.

Notifications and device-related information

If phone alerts are enabled, we process a notification token associated with the app installation, its operating-system platform, the linked user identifier, and registration activity. The app can also record whether an operational notification has been read.

Servers and service providers may process technical information necessary to deliver and secure requests.

Communications

If you contact Voom about privacy or support, we process the information you choose to provide to handle your request. This does not imply that Voom Drive includes an in-app chat or support-submission feature.

3. Why we use information

We use information as applicable to:

  • Authenticate drivers, manage authorized access, and maintain accounts.
  • Coordinate assigned transportation operations, display schedules and stops, and record ride progress.
  • Share active-ride location with authorized operational staff.
  • Review driver and vehicle qualifications and manage compliance records.
  • Display transportation history and recorded payout information.
  • Deliver operational alerts and maintain notification preferences.
  • Respond to requests, investigate incidents, protect the service, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Health documents are processed for the relevant driver-qualification and compliance purposes, not to provide medical advice through the app.

4. When we disclose information

We disclose information as needed for the purposes above, subject to applicable permissions and obligations:

  • Authorized operational personnel: staff and administrators responsible for transportation, driver or vehicle compliance, and service administration.
  • Service providers: organizations providing authentication, database and file storage, hosting, notification delivery, security, or other contracted services.
  • Legal and safety recipients: where required by law or reasonably necessary to respond to lawful requests, protect people, investigate misuse, or establish or defend legal rights.
  • Business transactions: where information is involved in a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, reorganization, or similar transaction, subject to applicable protections.

Provider privacy references include:

5. External navigation services

When you choose navigation, Voom Drive passes the selected stop's destination to Apple Maps or Google Maps. Those services process information under their own privacy policies and device permissions, including location they obtain directly from your device.

Opening an external navigation app does not itself end the Voom ride. Voom's separate active-ride location sharing can continue as described above.

6. Advertising, sale, sharing, and tracking

The reviewed Voom Drive application does not include advertising or cross-company advertising-tracking features. Operational GPS monitoring is different from advertising tracking.

7. Device permissions and local storage

Depending on the feature, Voom Drive may request location, camera, photo or file access, and notification permissions. You can manage permissions in device settings. Denying a permission can limit the related feature. Account and operational information may still be processed independently of that permission.

The app uses device storage for sessions, preferences, and certain feature state. Practice-mode ride progress is held in memory and is discarded when leaving practice mode. Practice ride actions do not create real rides, payouts, or live location uploads. Signed-in account and service-provider processing may still occur while using the app.

8. Retention

We retain information according to its purpose, applicable legal and contractual requirements, safety and dispute needs, and any required preservation obligations. Stopping location sharing does not automatically delete previously saved location history.

9. Security

We use safeguards designed to protect personal information and limit unauthorized access. Personal information is encrypted while it is transmitted and while it is stored, and access to that information is limited to people who need it to operate, support, and secure the application.

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction of personal information. These measures include secure sign-in requirements, access controls, and ongoing monitoring of the systems that run the application.

If we learn of a security incident affecting personal information, we will investigate it promptly and, where required by law, notify affected individuals and regulators.

No system or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You can help protect your account by keeping your sign-in credentials private and using a strong password.

10. Your choices and privacy requests

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by emailing Privacy@ridevoom.com. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to obtain a copy of information, limit certain uses of sensitive information, or opt out of certain disclosures. We may need to verify your identity or authority before responding. Do not email passwords or full medical documents simply to verify your identity.

Applicable law may permit or require retention of certain records even after a deletion request. Signing out, revoking a permission, or uninstalling the app does not itself delete server records.

California residents may have additional rights under California privacy law where it applies, including rights to know or access, correct, delete, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising applicable rights. An authorized agent may submit a request, subject to verification.

11. Student information and children

Voom Drive is intended for authorized drivers, not for children to create accounts or use as a consumer app. Nevertheless, transporting students can require processing children's names, pickup or drop-off locations, schedules, and transportation instructions supplied by authorized organizations or representatives.

Student information must not be treated as anonymous merely because students do not have app accounts. Questions about a student's information can be directed to Voom and, where applicable, the organization that supplied or controls the record.

12. Processing locations and policy changes

Voom operates in California.

We will update this policy when necessary and revise the last-updated date.
